The Lands Department announced today (March 7) that tenders for three petrol filling stations have been awarded on 21-year land grants at a total premium of $1,040,581,008.
Tuen Mun Town Lot No. 540 at Area 30A, San Tak Street, Tuen Mun, New Territories, was awarded to the highest tenderer, Shell Hong Kong Limited, at $571,105,008. Kwai Chung Town Lot No. 528 at 99 Castle Peak Road - Kwai Chung, Kwai Chung, New Territories, was awarded to the highest tenderer, ExxonMobil Hong Kong Limited, at $180.386 million. Sha Tin Town Lot No. 622 at Yuen On Street, Sha Tin, New Territories, was awarded to the highest tenderer, Sinopec (Hong Kong) Limited (parent company: Sinopec Marketing Company Limited), at $289.09 million.
The successful tenders were submitted on an individual basis for the purchase of the three sites. These three sites are existing, re-tendered sites for the development of petrol filling stations. Five tenderers took part in the exercise, which produced a total of 15 tenders.
The tenderers other than the successful tenderers that tendered in respect of each lot (individually or as a package) and in alphabetical order, with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets, were:
