The Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan, will lead a delegation of the Working Group on Professional Services under the Economic Development Commission to visit Nansha in Guangzhou and Qianhai in Shenzhen tomorrow (July 31). The delegation will visit the two places' town planning and development projects to learn more about the development prospects of the Hong Kong professional services and the opportunities in the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone.
In Nansha in Guangzhou, the delegation will visit the Nansha International Arbitration Centre and new area development projects. In the afternoon, the delegation will head for Qianhai in Shenzhen to see construction projects there. The delegation will also meet with the officials of Nansha and the Qianhai Authority, as well as senior executives of organisations being visited, to exchange views on the opportunities for the Hong Kong professional services and their contributions.
Government officials accompanying the delegation will include the Deputy Director of Planning (Territorial), Ms Phyllis Li. The delegation will return to Hong Kong tomorrow evening.
