Tenders awarded for residential site and industrial site

The Lands Department today (February 11) announced that the tenders for a residential site and an industrial site have been awarded on 50-year land grants at a total premium of $2,838.7 million.

The residential site, New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6532 at Lung Cheung Road, Beacon Hill, Kowloon, was awarded to NMC 8 Limited (parent company: Kerry Properties Limited) for $2,389.8 million. The industrial site, Kwai Chung Town Lot No. 487 at the junction of Shing Yiu Street, Wing Kei Road and Kwai Fuk Road, Kwai Chung, New Territories, was awarded to Ideal Ease Limited (parent company: Shun Hing Enterprises (H.K.) Limited) for $448.9 million.

"Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the two sites to the highest tenderers," a Lands Department spokesman said.

The tenderers, other than the successful tenderer, in respect of each lot in alphabetical order, with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets, were:

New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6532 has a site area of about 10,642 square metres and is designated for private residential purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 6,487 sq m and 10,812 sq m respectively.

Kwai Chung Town Lot No. 487 has a site area of about 1,264.6 sq m and the permissible uses are industrial; godown and ancillary office; office in direct support of an industrial operation; information technology and telecommunications industries; research, design and development centre; laboratory, inspection and testing centre; audio-visual recording studio; media design and media production; workshop for laundering or dry cleaning, tailoring, repair of goods; vehicle repair workshop, vehicle inspection centre and vehicle testing centre; cargo handling and forwarding facilities; showroom ancillary to factory; motor vehicle showroom on the ground floor; recyclable collection centre and a combination of any of the permissible users. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 7,208 sq m and 12,013 sq m respectively.
