Fishermen of two homeports to collect chits for registration of ex-gratia allowance claims from tomorrow

Fishermen with vessels not exceeding 15 metres in length in two homeports who would be affected by marine works projects (including the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge-related Hong Kong projects) in the waters north of Lantau Island are eligible to collect chits for registration of ex-gratia allowance claims from tomorrow (December 6). The two homeports are Lau Fau Shan (including San Pui) and Tsuen Wan.

An Inter-departmental Working Group (IWG), which comprises representatives from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, the Marine Department, the Home Affairs Department, the Lands Department and relevant works departments, has been set up to follow up on the arrangement. The fishermen concerned have been informed of the registration arrangements separately.

All claimants have to follow the date, time and venue specified below to collect the chits and turn up personally following the details specified in the chits to register their claims. Details of the chit distribution are listed below:

For fishermen of Lau Fau Shan and San Pui
