SDEV to visit Beijing

The Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan, will pay a duty visit to Beijing on November 29 and 30. He will call on various Mainland government ministries and organisations which have regular work exchanges on construction works with the Development Bureau.

This is Mr Chan's first visit to Beijing since he assumed the post of Secretary for Development. Mr Chan will visit the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Railways and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and meet with relevant officials on the first day of his visit. He will visit the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council on the second day.

Accompanying Mr Chan on the visit to Beijing will be the Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), Mr Wai Chi-sing, and the Deputy Secretary for Development (Works), Mr Enoch Lam.

Mr Chan will depart for Beijing in the evening tomorrow (November 28) and return to Hong Kong in the afternoon of December 1.
