Tenders invited for development of bathing beach at Lung Mei in Tai Po

The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) today (August 31) invited tenders for the contract for the development of a bathing beach at Lung Mei in Tai Po.

The works mainly comprise:

* construction of a 200-metre long bathing beach with a groyne at each end;
* a shark prevention net;
* a public car park;
* retaining walls; and
* associated roadworks, drainage and sewerage works.

The works are scheduled to commence in November this year for completion in August 2014. The Port Works Division of the CEDD is responsible for the design and supervision of the works.

Interested contractors may obtain the tender forms from the Port Works Division of the CEDD at 4/F, Civil Engineering and Development Building, 101 Princess Margaret Road, Ho Man Tin.

The invitation to tender was gazetted today. The deadline for the tender is noon on October 12, 2012. Tender submissions should be placed in the Government Secretariat Tender Box at G/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar. For enquiries, please call 2762 5630.
