Tenders invited for contract works in six major fresh water supply zones
The Water Supplies Department today (June 17) invited tenders for the construction of pressure management and district metering installations in six major fresh water supply zones in order to identify and reduce water leakage from water mains.
Under contract No 3/WSD/11, the six major fresh water supply zones are Kowloon West, Tsuen Wan East, Western, Central and Eastern districts, and Sai Wan, which covers Chai Wan, Siu Sai Wan and Shek O. In addition to constructing approximately 600 chambers to accommodate the installations, the contractor is required to install associated flow meters, pressure reduction valves, controllers, data loggers and other necessary monitoring equipment. The contract period is 30 months, followed by a 12-month maintenance period.
Contractors in the Waterworks Category from Group C of the Development Bureau's List of Approved Contractors for Public Works are eligible to submit tenders.
Contractors can obtain tender documents from Black & Veatch Hong Kong Limited, 25/F Millennium City 6, 392 Kwun Tong Road, Kowloon. Tender submissions should be placed in the "Government Secretariat Tender Box" in the lift lobby on the Lower Ground Floor of Central Government Offices (East Wing), 20 Lower Albert Road, Central (at its junction with Garden Road).
