Recruitment exercise for Engineers to start in March

The Water Supplies Department and Civil Engineering and Development Department will soon conduct a joint recruitment exercise for Engineers.  Advertisements for invitation of applications will be published in local newspapers and the website of the Civil Service Bureau in late March.  Applications will be closed in mid-April.

Applicants for the posts should:

(a) possess Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) (Civil Discipline) elected after December 5, 1975, or equivalent;

(b) have a "Pass" result in the Aptitude Test in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE); and

(c) have obtained "Level 1" results in Use of Chinese and Use of English in the CRE, or equivalent.

In order to meet the requirement in (a) above, applicants holding non-local professional qualifications only should submit all necessary supporting documents to prove the equivalency of such qualifications, such as evidence of acceptance of their qualifications by HKIE for admission to its Corporate Membership (Civil Discipline), after completion of any professional assessment or interview if so required, by the closing date for application.
