The Civil Engineering and Development Department today (February 10) invited tenders for carrying out landslide preventive works at Po Shan Road, Mid-levels, under the 10-year extended Landslip Preventive Measures (LPM) project.
The scope of works will include the construction of drainage tunnels and risk mitigation works at natural terrains to enhance the stability of the hillside at Po Shan Road.
The works are expected to start in May this year and will take about 24 months to complete.
The invitation to tender was gazetted today and the tender closing date and time will be 12 noon on March 24, 2006. Tender details are shown on the department's website http://www.cedd.gov.hk.
Appointed by the Planning Division of the department's Geotechnical Engineering Office, Maunsell Geotechnical Services LTD. is responsible for the design and supervision of the contract.
