Consultancy agreement on Total Water Management awarded

The Water Supplies Department today (October 24) awarded a $4 million consultancy agreement to Black & Veatch Hong Kong Limited for the feasibility study of engineering strategy on Total Water Management for Hong Kong.

The overall objective of the study is to map out the long-term strategy and to formulate implementation plans for the Total Water Management programme in Hong Kong. The scope of the study covers water reclamation and reuse, new water resources, water conservation, and protection and management of water resources.  

The study commences today for completion in mid 2007.
