A six-day exhibition on slope safety and maintenance will open on Wednesday (August 25) at Hing Tung Shopping Centre, Hing Tung Estate, Sai Wan Ho, Hong Kong. The exhibition is being staged by the Geotechnical Engineering Office (GEO) of the Civil Engineering and Development Department.
Opening from 10am to 6pm, it will feature various aspects of slope safety and slope maintenance through colourful illustrations and photographs. Interesting quiz games will also be held at the venue from 2pm to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Information about the dangers of landslides, taking precautionary measures and landslide warnings is on display.
The GEO's Community Advisory Unit will also conduct a "Meet the Public" session from 2pm to 5pm on August 28 to answer questions about slope safety and maintenance.
