New appointments to PCICB

The Government today (May 12) announced the appointment of three new members to the Provisional Construction Industry Co-ordination Board (PCICB) for a period of two years with immediate effect.
The new members are Mr Peter Ayres, Director, Ove Arup and Partners Limited; Mr George Leung, Chief Economist, Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited; and Mr Lee Shing-see, former Permanent Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works.
They will contribute additional expertise to the PCICB in terms of professional knowledge, policies and practices of client organisations as well as wider economic impact of industry reform proposals.
Having a total of 24 members, the PCICB serves as a focal point for collaborating efforts to expedite implementation of the vast change programme mapped out by the Construction Industry Review Committee and to nurture a new culture for continuous improvement. It also provides a pan-industry forum for stakeholders to deliberate and generate consensus on strategic matters affecting the construction industry, and to communicate the industry's needs and aspirations to the Government.
