To tie in with the "Serving the Community Festival 2002" launched by the Government, the Geotechnical Engineering Office (GEO) of the Civil Engineering Department (CED) will tomorrow (January 28) stage an exhibition on slope safety and maintenance for six days at Oi Tung Estate Shopping Centre, Shau Kei Wan.
The exhibition will be open from 10 am to 6 pm. It will feature various aspects of slope safety and slope maintenance through colourful illustrations and photographs. Interesting quiz games will also be held at the exhibition venue from 2 pm to 6 pm on February 2.
Information on landslide warning message, warning signs, evidence of landslide danger and precautionary measures will be on display.
The GEO's Community Advisory Unit will conduct a "Meet the Public" session from 2 pm to 5 pm on January 30 and February 2 at the exhibition venue to answer questions about slope safety and slope maintenance raised by the public.
