Water quality data released twice a year

The Water Supplies Department (WSD) will release water quality data on the Internet twice a year for public access at its website as the department's continuous effort to further enhance the transparency on water quality data in Hong Kong.

Since 2000, the WSD has started publishing the data of its treated water and Dongjiang water as received in Hong Kong at Muk Wu Pumping Station at its homepage on an annual basis to enable the public to have better understanding of the quality of water supplies in Hong Kong.

To increase the openness in the monitoring of water quality, both sets of water quality data for the latest period from October 1, 2001 to September 30, 2002 will be released to the public on the Internet today (December 23) and the next update covering the period from April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003 will be available in June 2003.

The data of water quality include physical parameters, chemical parameters of health significance and bacteriological quality.

Members of the public are welcome to visit the WSD Homepage https://www.wsd.gov.hk/ for the update data on water quality in Hong Kong.
