Exhibition on West Kowloon proposals opens tomorrow

The exhibition of screened-in proposals for the development of West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD) will open at Low Block, Exhibition Hall, Hong Kong City Hall tomorrow (February 5) and run until March 28, 2005.

The exhibition is open daily from 10am to 8pm, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays and people are welcome to visit the exhibition and give their views. Admission is free.

There will be special opening hours during the Lunar New Year holidays.

The exhibition will be closed at 4pm on Lunar New Year's Eve (February 8) and the second day of Lunar New Year (February 10). It will be closed on Lunar New Year's Day (February 9). The opening hours will resume as normal (10am - 8pm) from February 11.

Representatives of the screened-in proponents will explain their proposals to visitors at the exhibition. In addition, two detailed guided tours will be given by professionals of the proponents at 11am and 3pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and one such tour will be given at 3pm daily on weekdays.

A total of 86,061 visits to the exhibition were recorded during its staging at the Hong Kong Science Museum from December 16, 2004, to January 31, 2005.

Up to yesterday (February 3), the Government received more than 13,000 comment cards and 200 written submissions from the public.
