Government to sell site in Chung Hom Kok by public tender

The Lands Department (LandsD) announced today (June 10) that a site, Rural Building Lot No. 1220 at Chung Hom Kok, Hong Kong, will be disposed of by public tender. The tender invitation for the lot will commence on June 17 and close on July 29.

​Rural Building Lot No. 1220 has a site area of about 1,836 square metres and is designated for external telecommunications station purposes.

The tenderers must be incorporated companies registered under the Companies Ordinance which either are holders of Unified Carrier Licences (UCLs) granted by the Communications Authority (CA) who are authorised to provide cable-based and/or non-cable based external telecommunications services in Hong Kong, or have obtained an approval-in-principle from the CA for the grant of a UCL to provide such telecommunications services in Hong Kong. The tenderer that has been awarded the grant of Rural Building Lot No. 1219 (the Party) and any company connected with the Party are not eligible to participate in this tender exercise for disposal of Rural Building Lot No. 1220.

Land sale documents including the Form of Tender, the Tender Notice, the Conditions of Sale and the sale plan of the lot will be available for downloading from the LandsD website (www.landsd.gov.hk) from June 17, while the sale plan will be available for inspection by the public from the same day until the close of the tender. The sale plan in hard copy form may also be purchased from June 17 at the Survey and Mapping Office of the LandsD (23/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong) until the close of the tender. The particulars of the tender will be gazetted on June 17.
