The Lands Department announced today (March 9) that the tender for a site, Rural Building Lot No. 1219 at Chung Hom Kok, Hong Kong, has been awarded to the highest tenderer, STT Limited (parent company: SUNeVision Holdings Ltd.), on a 30-year land grant at a premium of $427,880,000.
The tenderers, other than the successful tenderer, in alphabetical order, with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets, were:
(1) China Telecom Global Limited; and
(2) GB21 (Hong Kong) Limited.
Rural Building Lot No. 1219 has a site area of about 2,254 square metres and is designated for external telecommunications station purposes.
The tenderers must be incorporated companies registered under the Companies Ordinance which either are holders of Unified Carrier Licences (UCLs) granted by the Communications Authority (CA) who are authorised to provide cable-based and/or non-cable based external telecommunications services in Hong Kong, or have obtained an approval-in-principle from the CA for the grant of a UCL to provide such telecommunications services in Hong Kong.
