The Secretary for Development, Mr Michael Wong, visited Yau Tsim Mong District today (December 11) to see the preservation and revitalisation project at Prince Edward Road West and Yuen Ngai Street. Accompanied by the Chairman of the Yau Tsim Mong District Council, Mr Chris Ip (first right), and the Managing Director of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA), Mr Wai Chi-sing (first left), Mr Wong (second right) was briefed by the General Manager (Planning & Design) of the URA, Mr Lawrence Mak (second left), on the preservation of one of the key architectural features of a shophouse - the staircase.
