A carved red sandstone column base unearthed at Tung Tau Tsuen, Ha Tsuen, Yuen Long, Hong Kong in 1998 bears an inscription “Chenghua shiyi nian li” (“erected in the eleventh year of the Chenghua reign”) (1475). It is believed to be a remnant of a ritual building belonging to the local Tang clan. Dated architectural components are extremely rare among archaeological finds in Hong Kong.
