A green-glazed roll tile dating to the Western Han dynasty (202 BC-AD 8) was unearthed at the Site of the Palace of the Nanyue Kingdom, Guangzhou in 1995.  Its outer surface is cord-marked and green-glazed, while the inner surface bears pitted impressions.  It is the earliest glazed roll tile discovered in China to date.
