The Development Bureau today (June 26) launched videos on YouTube to further explain the North East New Territories New Development Areas (NENT NDAs) project.
"Through an interactive multi-media channel on YouTube, we hope to enhance public understanding of the rationale and proposals of the project," a spokesman for the bureau said.
In the videos, the Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan; the Under Secretary for Development, Mr Eric Ma; and the Director of Lands, Ms Bernadette Linn, emphasise the pressing need and advantages of the project, the reasons for not being able to meet the demand for "no removal and no demolition", and that there will be rehousing and compensation arrangements for eligible affected residents.
The Bureau also invited the Chairman of the Hong Kong Housing Society, Mr Marco Wu, to share his views on the project in another video.
