Secretary for Development to visit New Zealand

The Secretary for Development, Mrs Carrie Lam, will pay an official visit to New Zealand from May 4 to 7 at the invitation of the New Zealand Government.

Mrs Lam will visit Auckland and Wellington to gain an understanding of the cities' efforts and initiatives on heritage conservation, waterfront planning and green buildings.

In Wellington, Mrs Lam will call on senior government officials and meet the Mayor of Wellington City.

She will also meet the officials of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust and Wellington Waterfront Ltd, and tour some significant historic buildings including the Supreme Court Building and Parliament Building.

During her stay in Auckland, Mrs Lam will visit the Auckland Regional Council to learn about the latest development in the city. She will also attend a reception hosted by the Hong Kong New Zealand Business Association.

Mrs Lam will return to Hong Kong on May 7.
