SDEV continues visit to Singapore (14/01/2020)

The Secretary for Development, Mr Michael Wong (first left), and the Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), Mr Lam Sai-hung (second left), today (January 14) visited a private high-rise development project adopting the modular integrated construction method. They were briefed on the project design, construction process, and in particular on the experience of transportation, lifting and installation of large modular units in the busy city centre.

The Secretary for Development, Mr Michael Wong (second right), continued his visit to Singapore today (January 14). He met with the Minister for National Development, Mr Lawrence Wong (third right), and the Chief Executive Officer of the Urban Redevelopment Authority, Mr Lim Eng Hwee (first right), to discuss land use planning, urban development and urban renewal issues. Principal Government Engineer, Mr John Kwong (third left), also attended the meeting.

The project will feature the tallest modular integrated construction buildings in the world when completed.
