The Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan, visited Tai Po District today (June 4) to see the latest planning and developments of the district.
Accompanied by the District Officer (Tai Po), Mr Bassanio So, Mr Chan this morning went to Wong Shiu Chi Secondary School, where he inspected the latest developments of the district from the rooftop of the school and received a briefing from the District Planning Officer/Sha Tin, Tai Po and North, Mr Soh Chun-kwok.
Mr Chan also exchanged views with the Chairman of the Tai Po District Council, Mr Cheung Hok-ming; the Vice Chairman of the Tai Po District Council, Ms Wong Pik-kiu; and the Chairman of the Environment, Housing and Works Committee of the Tai Po District Council, Mr Chan Siu-kuen, on issues such as housing development and community facilities in the district.
Mr Chan then inspected the area around Tai Po Market Station to learn more about the facilities and environment nearby and planning issues of concern to local residents.
