Tenders awarded for three petrol filling station sites

The Lands Department today (September 18) announced that tenders for three petrol filling stations have been awarded on 21-year land grants at a total premium of $520,737,498.

Aberdeen Inland Lot No. 465 at 3 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Hong Kong was awarded to ExxonMobil Hong Kong Limited at $258,684,500. Inland Lot No. 9060 at Wong Nai Chung Gap Road, Hong Kong was awarded to ExxonMobil Hong Kong Limited at $187,983,000. New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6543 at 779 Lai Chi Kok Road, Kowloon was awarded to Sinopec (Hong Kong) Limited (parent company: China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation) at $74,069,998.

"Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the three sites to the highest tenderers," a Lands Department spokesman said.

The successful tenders were submitted on an individual basis for the purchase of the three sites. These three sites are existing, re-tendered sites for the development of petrol filling stations. Four tenderers took part in the exercise, which produced a total of 11 tenders.

The tenderers, other than the successful tenderers, that tendered in respect of each lot and in alphabetical order, with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets, were:
