Lenovo offers free replacement of power supply unit for two models of all-in-one desktop personal computer

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department today (March 9) advised consumers to stop using Lenovo ThinkCentre M90z and M70z all-in-one desktop personal computers immediately and to approach the supplier, Lenovo Hong Kong Limited, to arrange for a free replacement of the computer's power supply unit.

According to the supplier, a defect in an internal component of the power supply unit has been discovered, which can overheat causing a fire hazard. The two models affected were supplied to the local market between May 2010 and January 2012.

The supplier has undertaken to conduct a product recall of the two models concerned and posted a safety notice on its website today.
