Recall of "Windmere USA WA-HF28" mini hi fi system (with photo)

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) today (July 30) urged consumers to stop using one model of Windmere USA WA-HF28 mini hi fi system for safety reasons.
   
A recent investigation by the department revealed that the internal power transformer of Windmere WA-HF28 mini hi fi system might have an overheating problem during use, posing a fire hazard risk to users.

The supplier, MKL Enterprises Limited, has initiated recall of the concerned hi fi system. The recall notices were posted in newspapers yesterday (July 29) and today (July 30).
   
According to the supplier, the mini hi fi system was redeemed from Mannings Stores between June and July.
