Exhibition on slope safety and aintenance
The Geotechnical Engineering Office of the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) will stage a four-day slope safety exhibition at Chung On Shopping Centre, Ma On Shan, New Territories, from tomorrow (July 4).
The exhibition, to be held daily from noon to 8pm, aims to convey to visitors the importance of slope safety and proper maintenance and precautionary measures during heavy rain through colourful display panels, video show and an information kiosk. Information on landslides and landslip warnings will be on display.
A geotechnical engineer from the Community Advisory Unit of Geotechnical Engineering Office will meet the public on-site from 2pm to 5pm on Saturday (July 5) to answer questions on slope safety and maintenance. Interesting quiz games will be held at the venue to help people understand more about slope safety and maintenance.
