Recall of electric herbal pots (with photos)

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department today (February 15) urged consumers to immediately stop using two models of electric herbal pots for safety reasons.

A recent safety test revealed that the electric herbal pots of Palace, model No WF-212A, and Sanki, model No SK-5038, might have a potential electricity leakage problem, posing a risk of electric shock to users.

Palace's supplier, Wong Fung Enterprise Limited, and Sanki's supplier, Shing Bong Development Limited, have announced a recall of the electric herbal pots.  Recall notices are posted in newspapers today.

According to the suppliers, the electric herbal pots were supplied to the local market between January and December, 2007, for the Palace model, and between August and December, 2007, for the Sanki model.

For details of the recall, consumers can contact the suppliers' hotline at 2487 9666 for Palace and 3563 6728 for Sanki.
