West Kowloon cultural project receives 10 indications of interest

The Government has received 10 indications of interest in submitting a proposal for the development of the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD), a government spokesman said today (October 17).

Intending proponents are required to submit their proposals to the government in accordance with the requirements set out in the Invitation for Proposals before March 19, 2004.

"As intending proponents are not obliged to indicate interest, and those who indicate their interest are not obliged to submit proposals, the actual number of proposals we receive by the submission deadline may be different from the number of indications of interest received," the spokesman said.

"Meanwhile, we welcome other interested parties to indicate their interest in submitting proposals," he said.
