In connection with the alleged infringement of “Intellectual Property Rights” (IPR) of several winning proposals of the Harbourfront Public Furniture Competition co-organized by the Harbour Office of the Development Bureau (DEVB) and the Harbourfront Commission (HC), the Selection Panel has investigated into all cases and decided not to commission the proposal “Play-Ring!”. The place so left will be filled by the public furniture first on the fall-back list in accordance with the agreed mechanism.

DEVB and HC attach great importance to protection of intellectual property rights. The invitation brief of the competition clearly states that all proposal must be original work of the participants without infringing the intellectual property rights of any persons and that the organisers reserve full rights to reject or disqualify any participants or proposals if it is believed that there is infringement on intellectual property rights.
