Development Bureau has completed processing the twelfth round of applications and approved seven applications involving a total of 1 008 quotas under the Labour Importation Scheme for the Construction Sector (the Scheme).  As of early July 2026, there are a total of 6 638 approved and valid quotas under the Scheme.  The trades/disciplines mainly include refrigeration / air-conditioning / ventilation mechanic (including water system and air system), electrician, fire service mechanic.  Please click here for details of the valid quotas by trades/ disciplines. 

Together with the 259 valid quotas approved earlier under the Supplementary Labour Scheme, which are to be counted towards the importation quota of the Scheme, there are a total of 6 897 valid quotas under the Scheme.

The works contracts with approved and valid quotas include those related to the Three-Runway System and expansion project of the Hong Kong International Airport, hospital development, waste management and sewage facilities, public housing, overhead line works, and other building projects, etc.
