Development Bureau has completed processing the seventh round of applications and approved ten applications involving a total of 1 008 quotas under the Labour Importation Scheme for the Construction Sector (the Scheme).  As of March 2025, there were 8 371 approved and active quotas under the Scheme.  Please click here for details of the approved and active quotas by trades/ disciplines. 

Together with the 685 active quotas approved earlier under the Supplementary Labour Scheme, which are to be counted towards the importation quota of the Scheme, there are a total of 9 056 approved and active quotas under the Scheme.

The contracts approved under the Scheme since its commencement include those related to the Three-Runway System of the Hong Kong International Airport and its related expansion, hospital development, waste management and sewage facilities, public housing, site formation and infrastructure, and other building projects.

The trades/disciplines approved so far include mainly refrigeration/air-conditioning/ventilation mechanic (including water system and air system), cement sand mortar worker (including plastering, bricklaying and tiling), and fire service mechanic, etc.
