Hearing Arrangements when Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal is hoisted

Arrangements for the Drainage Appeal Board Panel Hearings when Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal or Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted

  • When Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 (or lower) is hoisted or Amber/Red Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory, the hearings of the Appeal Board will be held as scheduled;
  • If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 (or higher) or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled at or before 7:00 a.m., all hearings in that day will be held as scheduled. If such Signal is cancelled at or before 12:00 noon, all hearings in that afternoon will be held as scheduled; and
  • If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 (or higher) is hoisted or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued after 7:00 a.m., all hearings in that morning will be cancelled. If such Signal is issued after 12:00 noon, all hearings in that afternoon will be cancelled. The Appeal Board Secretariat will inform the parties of the arrangements for the adjourned hearing.
