SDEV to visit Beijing

The Secretary for Development, Mr Eric Ma, will depart for Beijing tomorrow (February 19) late afternoon to pay courtesy calls on the Mainland government ministries which have policy areas that relate to work of the Development Bureau, and exchange views with senior officials on city planning and development.

On February 20, Mr Ma will call on the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the China Academy of Building Research. On the following day, he will visit the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Water Resources and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council.

Accompanying Mr Ma on the visit will be the Permanent Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands), Mr Michael Wong, and the Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), Mr Hon Chi-keung.

Mr Ma will return to Hong Kong in the evening of February 21.
