Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan, at a media session after attending a radio programme today (July 6):
Reporter: What factors will you take into account when the Government reviews the land used by the golf club? Is it possible that you can take back the land control by 2020?
Secretary for Development: The Government is reviewing the policy on land grant to recreational clubs in Hong Kong. In this particular review, of course, the Fanling Golf Course is included. At this stage I do not want to preclude any conclusion. What I can say is that in the North New Territories Study, we have included the Fanling Golf Course and the CE's Fanling Lodge in the study, in terms of developing the New Territories North into another new town for the Hong Kong people.
