Drainage Services Department to hold 20th anniversary exhibition

Members of the public are invited to the Drainage Services Department's (DSD) 20th anniversary exhibition at Stanley Plaza on Saturday (July 4) from 9.30am to 5.30pm.

Established in 1989, the DSD has served Hong Kong for the past 20 years providing wastewater and stormwater drainage services.  The exhibition is aimed at strengthening the department's relationship with the community through a comprehensive review of its works and services.

The exhibition area will be divided into four zones - corporate introduction, flood prevention, sewage treatment and the Harbour Area Treatment Scheme (HATS).  Supplemented with video shows, the exhibition will show drainage and sewerage development and infrastructure in Hong Kong over the past 20 years, as well as the latest development of the HATS.

To make the exhibition more educational and interesting, visitors can participate in a quiz game and will be given souvenirs.

For more information, please visit the DSD's homepage at www.dsd.gov.hk or call 2877 0660 during office hours.
