Membership of expert panel forum confirmed

    The Sub-committee on the Wan Chai Development Phase II Review of the Harbour-front Enhancement Committee (HEC) will hold an expert panel forum next month, as part of the Harbour-front Enhancement Review - Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and Adjoining Areas (HER). Membership of the expert panel is now confirmed.

    Prof William HK Lam, Chair Professor in Civil and Transportation Engineering of the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering, Hong Kong Polytechnic University will chair the Expert Panel Forum on Sustainable Transport Planning and Central-Wan Chai Bypass. Other panel members are:

    The expert panel forum will be held on September 3 (Saturday) from 2pm to 6pm at the SME Training Centre 3, Expo Galleria, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The forum aims to reach a broad consensus on transport matters, including the question of the need for the Central-Wan Chai Bypass and its connections with local roads.

    To facilitate a thorough discussion at the forum, the public is welcome to submit to the sub-committee by Friday (August 26) any views or data that they consider the expert panel should take into account. The panel and/or sub-committee has full discretion to publish, including uploading onto an appropriate website, all or part of such submissions.

    Members of the public, academics, professionals, and interested parties are invited to attend the forum. Pre-registration for attendance at the forum is highly recommended.
