Biography

Ms Bernadette Linn has been appointed Permanent Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands) since 1 July 2017.

Ms Linn joined the Administrative Service in January 1989 and rose to her present rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade A in April 2014. She has served in various bureaux and departments, including the former City and New Territories Administration, the former New Airport Projects Co-ordination Office, the former Civil Service Branch (later renamed Civil Service Bureau) and the former Finance Bureau (later renamed Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau) in the early years.  She was Deputy Secretary for Education and Manpower (later renamed Deputy Secretary for Education) from April 2005 to October 2008, Deputy Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury (Treasury) from November 2008 to March 2010 and Private Secretary to the Chief Executive from April 2010 to June 2012. She was Director of Lands from July 2012 to June 2017.
